- This is an AWM-500 Series of full-metal models of G-Shock’s first analog-digital watches.
- Based on the AW-500 model that was released in 1989—the first-generation analog-digital combination G-Shock watch—these models use hardy stainless steel on their bezels and bands.
- The band was developed specifically for the AWM-500 and manages to recreate the smooth shape of the AW-500 by using a curved design that melds into the case.
- The back of the watch features Screw Lock Back. A mirror and hairline finish has been applied to each surface of the bezel, and the use of 3D indices on the dial enhances the feel of the watch.
- The time is automatically corrected within Multi-Band 6 areas. Additionally, Tough Solar technology provides a stable source of power and the watch is packed with functional features such as high-luminance Full Auto LED illumination and World Time.
